Restore Mass Ave (RMA)
The mission of Restore Mass Ave is to rebuild the elegant and healthful canopy of trees that made Massachusetts Avenue a world attraction a century ago, when a double row of American lindens arched over this stately avenue, also known as Embassy Row. Adopting the stretch of Massachusetts Avenue from Dupont Circle to the Naval Observatory, this group, working with the city and Casey Trees, has arranged the planting of more than eighty new street trees and more than eighty others in lawns and parks. The work is ongoing and volunteers are always needed.
