Kalorama Village
“Aging in place” is a new phrase for a new concept: helping older residents locate the information and services they need to preserve their independence and remain in residence. For a modest fee, the organization provides links to Senior Checked, a local company that allows members to contact pre-screened service providers and local services and businesses that support independent living for seniors. A work in progress, Kalorama Village seeks members and volunteers as it expands its scope and further defines its mission. The organization offers occasional social events and other events dealing with the concept of aging in place.
